Wars have been in existence ever since the existence of human societies. In the early era, disputes between the tribes/societies were resolved using the latest technology available - weapons of destruction e.g. bow and arrow, sword etc.
However, such a war ensures enormous loss of human lives on both sides. But the question that remains to be asked is - Is loss of human lives necessary for winning a war? May be not. Because Winner of war is not decided by the number of people died on the two sides. It is not necessary to wipe out the entire army of the enemy to win a war.
So how does a war end? When the enemy surrenders? Or when there is no enemy left?
Considering that wars at present are not entirely barbaric but entails some rules. Can we create rules for wars which doesn't include loss of human lives? Can we create a rule based non-violent human civilization? Can we use new peaceful technologies to war against each other? Can we settle a land dispute by a cricket match? Can wars be moved to virtual reality?
Can we do away with wars altogether?
