Having a peek at the people at large would reveal that people are not naturally capable of being rational. Emotions always overtake rationality. Even the people who proudly flaunt themselves as rationalists are too emotionally attached to rationality.
Even centuries after the rise of rationality there is no academic or intellectual consensus on plaguing issues. This proves that there are always more than one perspective to look at issues. People will be emotionally attached to one of the perspectives, and even will use rationality to establish that perspective as superior to others.
Then why celebrate the pretentious drama of rationality, when in the end, we reach the same place – subjective understanding of our objective reality.
And is it rational to be rational when it yields nothing?
